Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics by Essential Formulas is a fermented probiotic supplement featuring 12 strains of live bacteria cultured through a multi-year, temperature-controlled fermentation process. Unlike freeze-dried capsule probiotics, this formulation delivers live cultures alongside fermentation byproducts, organic acids, prebiotics, and postbiotics, to support digestive balance and gut microbiome diversity.
Why It's Worth Considering: The extended fermentation method (three to five years) distinguishes this product from standard probiotic formats, yielding a broader range of naturally occurring metabolites alongside the live organisms themselves.
